THE BWC PROFESSIONAL CONCERT SERIES

Midland Music Presents:

Saturday, November 17, 2018 7:30pm

Joey Chang - Midland pdf2

DESCRIPTION

As a classically-trained pianist, Joey Chang involves himself in summoning the history of classical language and applying that training to freeform, improvised artistic expression. For this evening, Joey Chang, a recent Juilliard graduate, will share the stage with formidably trained artistic collaborators to perform interactive improvisations, the topics and themes of which will be taken from the audience in a true collaboration of all. Through these, they will explore what it sounds like, looks like, and feels like, when a group of people get together and draws upon the totality of their trained experiences in service of a momentary presence in time – to communicate something totally unique, something never communicated before.
